Casualty\u2019s Dylan Keogh is hit with some hard truths this week<\/a>, when he reunites with Sarah Linlaker \u2013 the mother of his secret son Matty! As Dylan attempts to atone for his past mistakes, Sarah makes him realise that he needs to prove himself as a dad \u2013 but is he willing to take a brave step forward?<\/p>\n

“Matty initially didn\u2019t want anything to do with his biological dad,” our Casualty insider reminds us. “But Kim\u2019s death put things into perspective<\/a>, and he and Dylan agreed that they should get to know each other properly.<\/p>\n

“However, for Dylan to have a relationship with his son, he needs to contact Matty\u2019s mum \u2013 and let\u2019s just say Sarah has a lot to get off her chest\u2026”<\/p>\n

As Casualty returns this Saturday for the first episode of the new boxset<\/a>, \u2018Lethal Legacy\u2019, Phina Oruche will take on the role of Dylan\u2019s ex Sarah, who has been mentioned frequently in recent episodes when the paternity bombshell was revealed.<\/p>\n

Dylan meets up with Matty and his mum and wants to know why Sarah kept Matty from him for 25 years<\/a>, but he is blindsided by the truth.<\/p>\n

Sarah explains that she tried to tell Dylan he was going to be a dad when she first found out she was pregnant, but when he returned to his house that night drunk and with someone\u2019s blood on his shirt, she changed her mind\u2026<\/p>\n

“Dylan is devastated that his alcoholism wrecked his chance to be a father to Matty,” reveals our source. “He wants to make up for lost time, but Sarah says he can\u2019t call himself a dad while he\u2019s keeping his son a secret \u2013 after all, only Stevie currently knows the truth!”<\/p>\n
