The Waterford and Wexford Education<\/a> Training Board comfortably won the All-Ireland Senior Inter-Firms Hurling title in
Ballyragget on Tuesday evening overcoming Tirl\u00e1n by eleven points in a game that was competitive until the closing
quarter when the winners took control all over the pitch.<\/p>\n

Tirl\u00e1n<\/a> started the game in whirlwind fashion scoring a goal and two points without reply in the opening three minutes \u2013
the points coming from Cathal Jordan and Luke Scanlon with Sean Hunt smartly reading a breaking off a long delivery
to gain possession to score the game\u2019s opening goal.<\/p>\n

The winners landed their first score after four minutes when Martin Og Storey pointed with Carrickshock\u2019s Jake
O\u2019Dwyer raising another white flag from a \u201965 one minute later. O\u2019Dwyer was outstanding for the winners scoring 2-6,
with both goals coming from play.<\/p>\n

Those brace of points saw the winners come much more into the game and the margin was back to the minimum on
seven minutes when a sweeping move from defence to attack from the winners saw Jake O\u2019Dwyer score a superb
goal for his side.<\/p>\n

Tirl\u00e1n were heavily dependent on the free taking of Stephen Manogue for their scores. A dominant nine minute spell in
the second quarter saw the WWETB land six points without reply to open up a four point lead between the teams. By
that stage the winner\u2019s defence had gotten to grips with the Tirl\u00e1n attack with most of their scoring threat coming from
midfielders Luke Scanlon and Shane Kinsella.<\/p>\n

Kinsella, the Tirl\u00e1n midfielder, reduced that margin to three points on twenty-five minutes, but the four point margin
was quickly restored when the games outstanding player former Wexford star Paidi Foley pointed for the winners from
seventy metres. A brace of points on the cusp of half-time for the winners from Jason Rossiter and another Jake
O\u2019Dwyer free to which Stephen Manogue responded with a similar score for Tirl\u00e1n, left the winners ahead 1-15 to 1-9
at the interval.<\/p>\n

The WWETB combination dominated the second half with Tirl\u00e1n dependent on Stephen Manogue for all their five
points which came from frees. The winners half back line of John Turbitt, Paidi Foley and Peter Rowley was
outstanding with the Tirl\u00e1n attack having few scoring opportunities during the second thirty minutes.<\/p>\n

Jake O\u2019Dwyer scored his second goal on forty-two minutes when full-forward Tomas Murphy ran fifty metres before
laying the ball off to O\u2019Dwyer who finished impressively to the Tirl\u00e1n net.<\/p>\n

It was fitting that the winner\u2019s third goal should be scored by Tomas Murphy as his work rate throughout the game
played a big part in his side\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n

None worked harder in the Tirl\u00e1n defence to curtail a rampant WWETB attack that defenders Tom & Simon Aylward
along with Brian Staunton.<\/p>\n

There was no doubting the superiority of the winners, Once they settled after that sluggish start they were the
dominant side especially all through the second half.<\/p>\n
