<\/p>\nLiving, the highly-acclaimed 2022 film starring Bill Nighy that saw him nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars, is being shown on TV tonight and comes with a big recommendation. It’ll air at 9pm on Channel 4, and should be available via the broadcaster’s free streaming service afterwards (possibly for 28 days).<\/p>\n
Based on the 1952 film Ikiru by legendary director Akira Kurosawa and written by Japanese-British novelist Kazuo Ishiguro, the film follows a senior London County Council worker who receives a terminal diagnosis.<\/p>\n
After finding himself unsatisfied with life and unable to do much in his job due to constant red tape, he becomes determined to recapture some of his youthful energy and make a positive difference in the city.<\/p>\n
