And yet, sometimes it\u2019s clear it didn\u2019t account for some unexpected glitches, which remain in the game even seven years later.<\/p>\n
Another glitch involving some very peculiar behaviour from Arthur is making the rounds once again, this time being shared on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n
According to users, if you jump off your horse in Red Dead Redemption 2<\/a> right before a cutscene triggers, Arthur continues running through the entire scene on foot, despite everyone else riding on their own horses.<\/p>\n This results in a rather hilarious clip showing Arthur sprinting on foot following his fellow gang members, managing to keep up with tremendous resolve.<\/p>\n The glitch has been known about for years, but it\u2019s still fun to see these things become rediscovered and reshared over time.<\/p>\n You can see the clip below for your own perusal. Note that the glitch is replicable in any cutscene that has you begin on your horse.<\/p>\n Red Dead Redemption 2’s Glitches Are Always Kinda Special To Experience<\/p>\n Naturally, this has caused a bit of discussion within the Red Dead Redemption 2 community, with many poking fun at the glitch but also wondering if there are some gameplay benefits to exploiting the bug.<\/p>\n \u201cDo you think the stamina XP ticks up during these? Would be awesome to hop off your horse right before a cutscene montage of you travelling across the map and levelling your stamina a ton in seconds lol,\u201d reads one comment on Reddit<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cReminds me of when, as a child, all your friends would bring their bikes out but you forgot yours,\u201d another joked.<\/p>\n \u201cThat’s exactly the homie you want having your back,\u201d reads another.<\/p>\n The glitch is a result of Red Dead Redemption 2 using real-time, dynamic cutscenes. They\u2019re not pre-rendered videos, which allows for things like the player\u2019s custom Arthur appearance to be retained during cutscenes.<\/p>\n Most modern game engines support real-time cutscenes, making them incredibly beneficial for RPGs and other types of big open-world adventures.<\/p>\n It does, on the other hand, mean that weird bugs like this are prone to happening if you perform some kind of weird trickery.<\/p>\n Others have noted that throwing a fire bottle at a character and then immediately triggering a cutscene will result in them being set ablaze while the cutscene lasts, creating some weird but hilarious situations.<\/p>\n This kind of in-engine oddity has been a thing with the RAGE engine since Grand Theft Auto IV, but are more obvious in later iterations of the engine.<\/p>\n It’ll be fun to see if this behaviour will persist with GTA VI<\/a>, which will also use the RAGE engine.
