A woman has died after the car in which she was a passenger crashed into a wall at a busy Dublin shopping centre on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n
The woman, aged in her 80s, was a passenger in the car, which was being driven by a man, also in his 80s, when the incident happened shortly before 11am.<\/p>\n
The woman was prounounced dead at the scene, while the man is being treated in hospital for injuries that are believed not to be life threatening.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed and emergency services attended at the scene of the incident on Idrone Avenue at Knocklyon Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n
A large section of the car park was sealed off by garda\u00ed for several hours after the incident as garda forensic investigators assessed the scene.<\/p>\n
The car is to believed to have travelled a length of the one-way system in the car park to a point where traffic then turns to travel towards the exit.<\/p>\n
But it crashed into a high red-brick wall at the end of the car park.<\/p>\n
No other injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

A parking spot close to the entrance of the SuperValu store was also sealed off by garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
Local people said the emergency services had placed a screen around the car while they worked at the scene.<\/p>\n
The car was later removed from the car park as the assessment of the area continued.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.<\/p>\n
Witnesses who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were in the area between 10.45am and 11.15am are asked to make it available, a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
