Zara Larsson<\/a>\u00a0has announced an all-star \u2018Midnight Sun\u2019 remix album, inspired by\u00a0the \u2018Brat\u2019 spinoff record<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Swedish pop star\u00a0released her fifth studio record last summer<\/a>, including the singles \u2018Pretty Ugly<\/a>\u2019,\u00a0\u2018Midnight Sun\u2019 and \u2018Crush\u2019,\u00a0and now she has revealed details of a\u00a0deluxe edition, titled \u2018Midnight Sun: Girls Trip\u2019.<\/p>\n

It will see a range of big names featuring on new versions of songs from the album, including\u00a0PinkPantheress<\/a>,\u00a0Shakira<\/a>,\u00a0Tyla<\/a>,\u00a0Robyn<\/a>,\u00a0Madison Beer<\/a>,\u00a0Kehlani<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Bambii<\/a>. It will be released on May 1 via Sommer House\/Epic\u00a0Records\u00a0and you can pre-order it\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Larsson announced the album on Instagram on Wednesday (April 22), posting a video in which she enters a petrol station and picks out keychains with all of the collaborators\u2019 names on them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so\u00a0so\u00a0so\u00a0so\u00a0so\u00a0honored and excited\u00a0for\u00a0this,\u201d she wrote. \u201cAnd you know\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0crazy? This is just the beginning of\u00a0girls\u00a0trip!!! Like HELLO This summer is\u00a0gonna\u00a0be madness.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a soundcheck before a show in Philadelphia\u00a0on March 30, Larsson responded to a\u00a0fan\u2019s\u00a0question that asked whether \u2018Girls Trip\u2019 would be a similar concept to Charli XCX\u2019s \u2018Brat\u00a0And\u00a0It\u2019s Completely Different\u00a0But\u00a0Also Still Brat\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cTotally, that\u2019s literally what it is,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0going to be amazing.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0really,\u00a0really fun\u2026It\u2019s\u00a0really fun\u00a0to reimagine it, and give it more life, and bring some new energy onto it with some incredible people,\u00a0to expand the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Larsson will be playing at\u00a0a number of\u00a0festivals this summer, including\u00a0Mad Cool<\/a>,\u00a0Radio 1\u2019s Big Weekend<\/a>,\u00a0Lollapalooza<\/a>,\u00a0Montreux Jazz<\/a>,\u00a0Sziget<\/a>,\u00a0Pinkpop<\/a>,\u00a0Open\u2019er<\/a>,\u00a0All Points East<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Parklife<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She was also\u00a0one of the big names to join PinkPantheress at Coachella this month<\/a>, and\u00a0she recently featured on Tyla\u2019s new single \u2018She Did It Again\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Larsson also came out in defence of Chappell Roan this month<\/a>, describing her critics as being driven by sexism.\u00a0\u201cWhen a woman has boundaries, I think people freak out,\u201d she said. \u201cMen can do violent criminal things, and people applaud them, but when a woman says, \u2018Stop following me,\u2019\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0controversial?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0like, \u2018You guys just hate women, actually.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
