Gardai and the defence forces rushed to the scene of a security alert in Dublin last night.<\/p>\n

The incident happened at a car park facility on the North Circular Road near Mountjoy Prison. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm.<\/p>\n

The scene was cordoned off by gardai last night. The cordon was eventually lifted and the facility fully reopened to the public.<\/p>\n

A garda<\/a> spokesman said last night: “An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na responded to reports of a security alert at a car park facility on the North Circular Road, Dublin<\/a> 7 at approximately 7pm on Sunday 26th April 2026. A cordon is currently in place and Army EOD have been requested to attend at the scene. No additional information is available at this time.”<\/p>\n

Last night, Dublin Fire Brigade<\/a> said: “Traffic restrictions are in place around the North Circular Road at Royal Canal Bank as Firefighter\/Paramedics from Phibsborough attend an incident.”<\/p>\n
