<\/p>\nUisce Eireann says works are ongoing and will affect homes and businesses for most of the day<\/p>\n

There’s a major outage in parts of Dublin and Co Kildare<\/a> due to burst water mains.<\/p>\n Uisce Eireann said the outages are expected to cause disruption throughout the day, with works ongoing. The main areas affected include Malahide in Dublin<\/a> and Celbridge, Maynooth and Leixlip in Co Kildare.<\/p>\n In Kildare the issue is affecting the three towns, with the works also affecting traffic. A management plan is in place along the route.<\/p>\n Uisce Eireann said: “Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Leixlip, Maynooth and Celbridge and surrounding areas in Co. Kildare. Works are scheduled to take place until 5pm on 27 April.<\/p>\n “A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works. We recommend that you allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.”<\/p>\n The Malahide issue has been in place all weekend, with repairs slated to finish at around 2pm today. The issue started on Saturday, April 25.<\/p>\n Uisce Eireann said: “Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Swords, Back Road, Malahide and surrounding areas in Co. Dublin.Works are scheduled to take place until 3pm on 25 April.
