Home and Away legend Alf Stewart is set to hide a worrying new secret in upcoming scenes as a new character arrives in Summer Bay. The Australian soap is set to welcome two new characters in the coming months, including a police officer<\/a> and a new doctor. <\/p>\n

Rocco Forrester-Sach has joined the cast as rookie police officer Richie Brezniak, with Nicole da Silva on board to play Dr Amelia Carlisle. <\/p>\n

It seems Yabbie Creek\u2019s newest police recruit is set to butt heads with Alf as he tries to make a strong first impression during his first days on the job.<\/p>\n

According to TV Week<\/a>, upcoming scenes will see Alf’s daughter Roo becoming concerned for her father when she spots a letter telling him he has to undergo a medical assessment to renew his driving licence. <\/p>\n

Roo, who is worried about her dad’s health, raises the matter, and Alf shuts her down, with Alf actor Ray Meagher saying: “Roo is very concerned about his health but, like most of those things, Alf brushes it off and gets antagonistic because she\u2019s hassling him.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Cash is introduced to newcomer Richie and offers to take him under his wing, though he soon becomes impatient with the probationary constable. <\/p>\n

When Cash and Richie set out on traffic patrol, Richie sees it as his chance to shine and pulls Alf over, who is driving illegally with an expired licence. <\/p>\n

“In Alf\u2019s head, he\u2019s doing the right thing. He\u2019s on the way to formalise his licence but he\u2019s pulled over by an enthusiastic cop who says, ‘Can I see your licence?’ To which Alf kind of stammers and says, ‘Well, about that\u2026’,” Meagher said. <\/p>\n

“It\u2019s a double whammy and a scenario he didn\u2019t see coming,” he added.<\/p>\n

After Cash tries to let Alf off with a warning, Alf admits he was at fault and accepts the fine that Richie had prepared.<\/p>\n

Later that night, Alf tells Roo he has lost his licence and, to her relief, he books an appointment with the doctor. <\/p>\n

Ralf secretly cancels the appointment, but what is he hiding?<\/p>\n

Looking forward, Alf will face a troubling time on the soap after being questioned for his involvement in a shocking crime, and he is taken to the station in the back of a police van as the residents watch on in horror.<\/p>\n

Home and Away drops new episodes on weekdays at 6am on 5\u2019s streaming service with a 6.30pm screening on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video<\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.<\/p>\n
