In an old interview with Filmymantra Media, she opened up about her initial impression of the actress, and how completely it changed over time. She recalled, \u201cI did one of Priyanka\u2019s initial films with her, \u2018Kismat\u2019. She was very thin, skinny, and dark. She was introduced to me and Mohan Joshi as our daughter in the film. When I saw her, I said, \u2018Oh my God.\u2019 At that point, she looked like nothing. I wondered how these people become heroines.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Priyanka soon proved her wrong in the most remarkable way. \u201cCut to, Priyanka Chopra was wow. I thought, what has this girl gone and done? She became a complete diva. So you can\u2019t judge somebody and say, \u2018Yaar, yeh kisko leke aaye ho.\u2019 You never know when someone\u2019s destiny will change. What an actress, fab!\u201d Jaykar added.<\/p>\n

Priyanka Chopra on facing colourism and body shaming<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra herself has often spoken about facing colourism and body shaming in her early years. In an interview with BBC, she shared, \u201cI was called \u2018black cat\u2019, \u2018dusky\u2019. I mean, what does \u2018dusky\u2019 even mean in a country where we are literally all brown? I thought I was not pretty enough. I believed I would have to work a lot harder, even though I felt I was perhaps more talented than some of my lighter-skinned peers.
