Jordan\u2019s of Clarinbridge is shutting down after three and a half years in the village as they admitted it \u201cwas not an easy choice\u201d.<\/p>\n
Owners Norma and Megan announced the closure of the business on Tuesday, April 29 as they paid tribute to their pub, which had become \u201ca place of connection, community and heart.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pub has become a beloved fixture in Clarinbridge over the years. In 2023, the business was the Irish Pub Awards\u2019 Regional Winner for Connacht in the \u2018Best Local Pub\u2019 category.<\/p>\n
The decision to close was not an easy one as owners cited the rising costs that are having a \u201cprofound impact\u201d on small businesses such as theirs.<\/p>\n
In a post on social media this week, they said: \u201cIt is with great heartbreak and sadness that we share the news that we have made the difficult decision to close our doors at Jordan\u2019s.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter an incredible three and a half years, both of us, Norma and Megan, have decided to step away from Jordan\u2019s. This has not been an easy choice. The continuously rising costs are having a profound impact on small businesses across our beautiful island of \u00c9ire every single day, and unfortunately, it has reached a point where it is no longer possible for us to continue with our dream.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo each and every person who walked through our doors, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support, laughter, and presence made Jordan\u2019s what it was.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo the friends we\u2019ve made along the way, we are so grateful you came into our lives, you\u2019ve made this journey truly special. And to the friends we\u2019ve lost along the way, not a day goes by that we don\u2019t miss you.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hold close the memories of the laughter, the chats, and the countless special moments shared within these walls.<\/p>\n
