The single vehicle crash in Galway occurred at Tyrur, Newbridge, Ballinasloe, at around 9.45am on Wednesday, April 29.<\/p>\n
The driver, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to the mortuary at Portiuncula Hospital.<\/p>\n
No other injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n
The road is currently closed while forensic collision investigators undertake a technical examination. <\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed in Ballinasloe are appealing to anyone who witnessed the accident to come forward.<\/p>\n
Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 9.30am and 9.50am are asked to make this available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n

Separately, a man has died following a road traffic collision off the the R591 road between Dunmanus and Barlycove, Goleen, Co. Cork at approximately 11am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
A motorcycle collided with a pole and the driver, a man in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n
His body has since been removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
The road off the R591 known locally as the Dunmanus Road\/Coast Road to Barleycove remains closed at this time to facilitate an examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
Any road users who were traveling in the area between 10:45 am and 11:15 am are asked to make contact with investigating Garda\u00ed. Anyone with camera footage (including mobile phone or dash-cam) is asked to make that footage available.<\/p>\n
