The city centre was thronged with people on the sunny evening.<\/p>\n<p>READ NEXT:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/crime-and-courts\/2072727\/man-charged-with-assault-of-limerick-hip-hop-performer.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Man charged with assault of Limerick hip-hop performer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Videos and photos, which have been widely shared on social media, show a man being led into the back of a garda van.<\/p>\n<p>Following a query from Limerick Live, a garda spokesperson said gardai attended the scene of a public order incident that occurred on O\u2019Connell Street, Limerick city on Wednesday, April 29 at approximately 8:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA male, aged in his 30s, was arrested and conveyed to a garda station in Limerick.
