MEDFORD, Ore. – The city is hosting a free Drug Take Back Event and Rogue Shred Event on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Hall parking lot.<\/p>\n
According to the city, the event offers residents a chance to dispose of unused, outdated and unwanted prescription drugs and shred confidential documents. People can enter the parking lot from Ivy Street and exit onto Oakdale Avenue.<\/p>\n
The city is asking residents to limit shred items to four grocery-sized bags. Items should be placed in a bag or in a provided box at the event.<\/p>\n
For prescription drugs, the city says people should remove or black out any identifying information from prescription bottles. Caps and lids must be securely tightened on all pharmaceutical products.<\/p>\n
Solid medication can be disposed of in its original container or directly into the provided disposal box. Liquid products must remain sealed in their original container.<\/p>\n
