{"id":426181,"date":"2026-05-01T01:49:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-01T01:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/426181\/"},"modified":"2026-05-01T01:49:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-01T01:49:08","slug":"man-stabbed-in-cork-city-on-thursday-afternoon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/426181\/","title":{"rendered":"Man stabbed in Cork city on Thursday afternoon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\">Gardai are investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed in Cork city.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">He is understood to have been involved in an altercation with two other men.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">While he was rushed from the scene to hospital, his injuries are not life threatening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The incident happened earlier today and led to Garda Armed Support Unit \u200bofficers being called to attend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A garda spokesperson said: &#8220;Garda\u00ed attended the scene of an assault on Clontarf Street, Cork City shortly before 3pm\u200b, following reports of a disturbance involving a group of individuals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u200b&#8221;A male aged in his 40s was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening. No persons have been arrested in connection with this incident.
