Liverpool head coach Arne Slot faces some more big decisions this weekend, with his side looking to secure a second successive Premier League win away at Manchester United\"Arne<\/p>\n

With the right set of results, Liverpool could secure Champions League soccer next season as early as this weekend. Even if it doesn’t happen mathematically, that point in the campaign is edging closer.<\/p>\n

What is more at stake when the Reds take to the field at Old Trafford is another sign that Arne Slot’s<\/a> side is heading in the right direction again. After three Premier League wins on the bounce<\/a>, there is a sense that positive momentum is building once more, but it is still fairly precarious.<\/p>\n

While both Liverpool and Manchester United look set to qualify for the Champions League<\/a> spots, this game is about the two men in the dugout to some degree \u2014 and setting the narrative ahead of the summer and beyond.<\/p>\n

With Mohamed Salah injured<\/a> with a hamstring issue, Liverpool will need to find a solution on the right-hand side.<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong \u2014 more of a full-back, really, but a very attack-minded one \u2014 could be put on the wing, or there could be a change of formation on the cards.<\/p>\n

Playing Florian Wirtz<\/a> off the right, with the license to drift inside, with Cody Gakpo on the left and Alexander Isak<\/a> in the middle, could then allow Ryan Gravenberch to return in midfield.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman is likely to return to the line-up for this game, but fielding him alongside Alexis Mac Allister<\/a> and Dominik Szoboszlai, Slot could go with a more robust midfield department, with Gravenberch effectively the replacement for Salah.<\/p>\n

The alternative would be to throw Rio Ngumoha<\/a> in from the off, or even Federico Chiesa. For different reasons, neither seems at all likely.<\/p>\n

Defensively, there are decisions to make too. Curtis Jones has done well at right-back of late<\/a>, but Frimpong and Joe Gomez are other options in that position.<\/p>\n

And at left-back, Milos Kerkez could come back in for Andy Robertson<\/a>, though the latter will be hoping for one last outing as a Liverpool player at Old Trafford before he departs in the summer.<\/p>\n

Whichever team Slot goes with, a win would be massive.
