Good evening and welcome to the Irish Independent\u2019s Friday night live blog, where we\u2019ll keep you up to speed with all the action from the SSE Airtricity League.St Patrick\u2019s Athletic are back on top after last week\u2019s 3-1 win over Bohemians and Stephen Kenny\u2019s side are on the road tonight, taking on sixth-placed Galway United.<\/p>\n
Ryan Edmondson has been in form with six goals so far this season – including two last Friday – and he\u2019ll be hoping to keep that run going.<\/p>\n
A 90th minute winner from Kian Leavy separated the sides the last time they met, and the 24-year-old will be keen to stay in the conversation for a place in Heimir Hallgr\u00edmsson\u2019s Ireland squad ahead of the trip to Spain.<\/p>\n
The TV game tonight is at Dalymount Park, where Bohemians host Derry City and it will be shown live on Virgin Media 2.<\/p>\n
Bohs are struggling badly at the moment, without a win in seven, and face a Derry side buoyed by their victory over Shamrock Rovers a week ago. The Candystripes have enjoyed their trips to Phibsboro in recent seasons.<\/p>\n
The Hoops face Waterford, a side still waiting for their first win after 12 games. Stephen Bradley will expect his team to bounce back to winning ways at Tallaght Stadium.<\/p>\n
Dundalk, meanwhile, have impressed by climbing into third but were brought back down to earth in Sligo last weekend – their first defeat since February.<\/p>\n
The Lilywhites host Shelbourne tonight. Shels threw away a 2-0 lead against Drogheda last week and have now lost four on the bounce – and, with another big game coming at Bohs on Monday, Joey O\u2019Brien could do with a result here.<\/p>\n
Drogheda face Sligo – ninth against seventh – with just a point between them. Sligo have been in the news this week, with chairman Tommy Higgins speaking about the club\u2019s financial situation and the possibility of moving away from the supporter-owned model.<\/p>\n
On the pitch, though, they\u2019re motoring nicely now and chasing a fourth straight win.
