\n\tBefore Jeff Bezos<\/a> and Lauren S\u00e1nchez Bezos make their debut as honorary co-chairs and lead financial sponsors of the Met Gala<\/a> on Monday, the couple will hold court at a private pre-party over the weekend.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe subject line of emailed invites to the Saturday night soiree reads, \u201cINVITE: Jeff and Lauren Bezos Invite You.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tInside, a disco-inspired image features a profile of someone that shows just shows their nose and slightly opened mouth. Their lipstick is red and sparkles with lots of glitter. \u201cPre-Met celebration on May 2 at 8 p.m.,\u201d the invite reads. \u201cAddress: to come upon confirmation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSources tell me the party may be taking place at the Bezoses\u2019 New York City residence. The couple\u2019s rep did not comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tNo word yet on the pre-party guest list but this year\u2019s Met Gala has come under fire after the famous couple was named honorary co-chairs following the announcement that they\u2019re the lead sponsors of the \u201cCostume Art\u201d gala and exhibition.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this month, a poster campaign throughout New York City, called for a boycott of \u201cThe Bezos Met Gala.\u201d Tied to a guerilla activist group, the posters have referenced \u201cworker exploitation\u201d at Amazon warehouses, as well as alluded to the tech giant\u2019s reported support of the Department of Homeland Security in waves of deportations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tCo-chairs for the Met Gala, which comes with the dress code \u201cFashion Is Art,\u201d include Beyonc\u00e9, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour.<\/p>\n

\n\tNews of the Bezos pre-party comes on the heels of Variety\u2019s report that Emily Blunt\u2019s character in \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d now \u201cvery much resembles\u201d Bezos S\u00e1nchez<\/a> while her billionaire tech mogul partner, played by Justin Theroux, is said to be a mash-up of Bezos and Elon Musk.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe movie is heading for box office gold with opening weekend ticket sales estimated at between $75 million and $80 million, but some predictions put it even higher at $90 million to $100 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n
