Two men have been rushed to hospital after being attacked in their north Belfast<\/a> home by a gang armed with hammers, crow bars and a machete.<\/p>\n The Police Service of Northern Ireland<\/a> (PSNI) rushed to the scene after receiving a report shortly after 9.40pm on Friday evening that a number of masked men entered a house in Ambleside Street.<\/p>\n The gang assaulted two male occupants with hammers, crow bars and a machete. The property was also damaged in the attack.<\/p>\n Both men were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for treatment for cuts and bruising.<\/p>\n The attackers are believed to have made off in the direction of Upper Charleville Street following the incident.<\/p>\n The Irish Mirror’s Crime Writers Michael O’Toole and Paul Healy are writing a new weekly newsletter called Crime Ireland.
