The former Manchester City captain revealed that his recovery from Ramsay Hunt Syndrome will take much longer than first expected. In a recent video shared on his X account, he explained that doctors have not given him positive news so far.He said things clearly and did not try to hide how tough it has been. At 55, Morrison is now dealing with a condition that affects his facial nerves and causes serious symptoms. Even simple things like smiling or talking have become difficult. Still, he is trying to stay strong and keep moving forward, one step at a time.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Morrison opens up about Ramsay Hunt syndrome struggles and long road to recovery<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in his video, Andy Morrison gave a direct update about his situation. He said, \u201cGood evening. We are now at week 10 and I thought I\u2019d do a little update. I got a letter from the specialist I saw last week. There is no good news.\u201dHe then explained how serious his condition is right now. He added, \u201cThere is a test you can do, where one is the least and six is the worst and I\u2019m between five and six.\u201d This shows how difficult his current stage is. Doctors had earlier said recovery could take a few weeks or up to a year, but now it looks like the longer timeline is more realistic.Even with that, Morrison is trying to find small positives. He shared, \u201cIf I lift\u2026 can you just see a tiny bit of movement? That\u2019s a big positive. The brain is beginning to repair the nerves.\u201d He also spoke about how the condition is affecting his daily life. Morrison said, \u201cThe dizziness, the vertigo and the brain fog makes you feel drunk all the time. It\u2019s exhausting.\u201d He even shared that after helping his daughter move house, he had to rest for two days because of how tired he felt.Despite everything, he is not giving up. Morrison said, \u201cI will dig in and do what I have to do to get back to the best possible me.\u201d At the same time, he admitted there are emotional struggles too. He explained how frustrating it feels when he cannot control his own facial movements.Still, his mindset remains clear. He said, \u201cThere are good days and bad days.\u201d That simple line shows how he is taking things one day at a time.Morrison, who also played for clubs like Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, and Huddersfield Town, is now focused fully on recovery.
