A serious RTC took place in Castlebar last night<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed in Castlebar are investigating a serious road traffic collision on the Moneen Road, Castlebar,\u00a0 that occurred in the early hours of this morning at approximately 3:30am.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A male pedestrian, aged in his late 30s was seriously injured when a collision occurred between a car and himself.<\/p>\n
He was transferred from the scene to Mayo University Hospital and remains in a serious condition.<\/p>\n
No other persons were injured.<\/p>\n
The road has fully reopened following examinations by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
