Olivia Rodrigo<\/a> debuted a new track, \u2018Begged\u2019, during her stint as musical guest and host of Saturday Night Live<\/a>. Check it out below.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo appeared on the show last night (May 2), where she briefly joked about her Disney Channel beginnings on Bizaardvark and her former co-star Jake Paul, as well as giving a musical parody of \u2018drivers license\u2019.<\/p>\n

For her first musical performance of the night, she played her latest single \u2018drop dead\u2019, with Debbie Harry<\/a> of Blondie<\/a> introducing her to the stage.<\/p>\n

Then, Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie introduced her second song, which turned out to be \u2018begged\u2019, an unreleased track from her upcoming third studio album \u2018You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love\u2019<\/a>, which comes out on June 12 via Geffen.<\/p>\n

She\u2019d previously debuted the track \u2013 which features Weyes Blood<\/a> on backing vocals \u2013 during an intimate, phone-free show in LA<\/a>, while she had\u00a0described it<\/a>\u00a0as<\/a>\u00a0\u201ckaraokable if you\u2019re sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodrigo performed the song seated on a swing, nodding to the cover art for the upcoming album. Check out both songs below.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo\u2019s new album is the follow-up to 2023\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Guts\u2019<\/a> and is expected to be both\u00a0\u201cexperimental\u201d and full of \u201csad love songs\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Recently, Rodrigo shared more insight into what to expect from her new album, saying it is\u00a0centred around the feelings of \u201cjealousy\u201d and \u201clonging\u201d that arose from her first \u201cbig girl relationship\u201d.<\/a>\u00a0So far, she has only dropped one track,\u00a0the lead single \u2018Drop Dead\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She broke the song out live during\u00a0Addison Rae\u2019s set at Coachella<\/a>\u00a0and later performed it at a\u00a0surprise appearance at a New York City open mic event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since then, she\u2019s sparked rumours of a collaboration with Geese<\/a>\u00a0frontman\u00a0Cameron Winter<\/a>\u00a0after they were seen together at a restaurant.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo has also\u00a0cited The Cure, New Order, Joy Division, The White Stripes and Bikini Kill as sources of inspiration<\/a>\u00a0for the new music, and\u00a0announced a massive 2026 and 2027 tour<\/a>, which includes four nights at The O2 in London.<\/p>\n

In other news, Rodrigo is\u00a0the latest artist to appear on the front of the Barcelona FC jersey, which the team will wear as they go head-to-head with Real Madrid later this month<\/a>.<\/p>\n
