Reality TV<\/a> star, Australian conservationist<\/a>, and zookeeper Bindi Irwin <\/a>is making progress in her recovery, with close support <\/a>from her family as they share a hopeful update. Her mother, Terri Irwin, and brother, Robert Irwin, spoke about her progress during a joint appearance at the 3rd Annual Steve Irwin Gala <\/a>in Las Vegas on May 2, offering a glimpse into how she is doing as she navigates her ongoing health battle with endometriosis. <\/p>\n

Bindi, who won the twenty-first season of \u201cDancing with the Stars<\/a>\u201d alongside Derek Hough, has long balanced her public life with personal resilience. <\/p>\n

Her brother Robert later followed a similar path, winning the 34th season with Witney Carson.<\/p>\n

\u201cBindi is doing so much better now,\u201d Terri said in a conversation with E! News. <\/a>\u201cSo, things like a lot of travel are a bit challenging for her at the moment, and so she\u2019ll be here next year to celebrate this wonderful night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bindi Irwin Focuses on Recovery While Staying Close to Home<\/p>\n

While Bindi was not able to attend the event in person, her family shared that she remained present in spirit and continues to stay connected to her work.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was here in spirit,\u201d Terri said, adding that Bindi has already returned to her wildlife conservation efforts.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year she\u2019s just staying a little close to home,\u201d she added. <\/a>\u201cSo, ironically, it\u2019s less taxing for her to be home feeding crocodiles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Robert also highlighted the scale of the work Bindi continues to support.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou gotta remember [in] Australia Zoo there\u2019s 500 in our team,\u201d he said. \u201cThere\u2019s about 500,000 acres of conservation land that we have. Someone\u2019s got to hold down the fort. So, Bindi\u2019s doing a great job at that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Family Reflects on Steve Irwin\u2019s Legacy and Shared Purpose<\/p>\n

As Bindi continues her recovery, Robert reflects on the responsibility of carrying forward their father Steve Irwin\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n

\u201cDad\u2019s legacy\u2019s never been more important because we all know there are big issues that face the planet,\u201d Robert told E! News.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cEnvironmentally, we\u2019ve kind of got a bit of an uphill battle right now in our generation. But it\u2019s important not to lose sight of hope. There\u2019s always hope if we can work together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo Keeping that sense of passion, positivity, philanthropy and conservation,\u201d he added, \u201cto keep all of that alive is not only an honor personally, but I think it\u2019s crucial.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bindi Irwin Opens Up About Endometriosis Journey<\/p>\n

In recent months, Bindi has opened up about her health journey with honesty and courage, offering a clearer picture of the challenges she has faced over the years.<\/p>\n

She revealed that she has undergone multiple procedures, including having 50 lesions removed over the past three years, after spending a decade without a diagnosis.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrying to keep my invisible illness to myself after being told by doctors it was just \u2018part of being a woman,\u2019\u201d she wrote in a March Instagram post. \u201cI spent 10 years being undiagnosed. As a teenager and young woman, I felt weak and deeply insecure. I was trapped in my own body.\u201d<\/p>\n

By sharing her story, Bindi has also become a source of support for others navigating similar experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one deserves to suffer in silence,\u201d she shared. \u201cIf you\u2019re in pain, my heart breaks for you. I believe you. Please find answers. And don\u2019t give up on yourself. I know how hard that can be.\u201d<\/p>\n

From caring for wildlife to advocating for awareness around endometriosis, her journey reflects both resilience and purpose. <\/p>\n

With her family\u2019s support and her own determination, she continues to move forward, one step at a time.<\/p>\n
