Dermot Bannon has admitted he was terrified to film with some of Ireland\u2019s biggest stars for his new RTE series.<\/a><\/p>\n Dermot Bannon\u2019s Celebrity Super Spaces<\/a> kicked off last week and sees the TV architect getting a peek into some impressive celebrity pads.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cIn fact, I was really intimidated. Normally when I do Room To Improve and things like that, I\u2019m the architect.<\/p>\n \u201cBut for the likes of Vogue Williams, Joanne McNally, Clodagh McKenna… I had butterflies in my stomach. I was a little bit terrified.<\/p>\n \u201cAiden Gillen is a huge star, I still see John Boy [character from Love\/Hate] standing there with a gun to my head.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t see any of the houses or meet the homeowners beforehand, I meet them for the first time on camera.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of the time I\u2019m left sitting out on the doorstep for half an hour while they go in with the cameras, the mics, get the lighting set up and whatever.<\/p>\n \u201cThen I\u2019m told, right, you can come in and by that stage the tension has built up so much it\u2019s horrendous. So if anything, I was intimidated because I\u2019d never met any of them before.\u201d<\/p>\n Dermot has got to see some amazing homes<\/a>, but he has one celebrity on his hit list if there were to be a second series.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cSo the likes of Dave Moore from Today FM… he lives in a really regular house, but he has done these really cool things with sliding doors, and he\u2019s done it all himself and built it all himself.<\/p>\n \u201cHe would be an ideal candidate.\u201d<\/p>\n Dermot Bannon\u2019s Celebrity Super Spaces airs tonight at 9.30pm on RTE One and RTE Player.<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from the Irish Mirror?
