\n Ireland qualify after Sharlene Mawdsley’s standout final leg.\n <\/p>\n

Ireland’s women’s 4x400m relay team have secured qualification for next year’s World Championships after winning their race at the World Athletics Relays in Botswana.<\/p>\n

The team of Rachel McCann, Sophie Becker, Arlene Crossan, and Sharlene Mawdsley produced a season’s best time of 3:23:83.<\/p>\n

Mawdsley’s split of 48.34 was the fastest ever recorded by an Irish athlete, underlining the brilliant performance by the Irish team.<\/p>\n
