In addition to screening a bunch of movies, jurors have to traverse the Croisette for premieres, press conferences, photo calls and parties. This year\u2019s festival is taking place from May 12-23.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElordi\u2019s rep did not respond to request for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tSouth Korean auteur Park Chan-wook, whose long history with the festival includes \u201cOldboy,\u201d \u201cThirst\u201d and \u201cDecision to Leave,\u201d is presiding over the jury of the 79th edition of\u00a0Cannes. He will be joined by Demi Moore, Chlo\u00e9 Zhao, Stellan Skarsg\u00e5rd, Ruth Negga, Belgian director-screenwriter Laura Wandel, Chilean filmmaker Diego C\u00e9spedes, Ivoria American actor Isaach De Bankol\u00e9 and Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAmong the directors whose films will premiere in competition include Asghar Farhadi (\u201cParallel Tales\u201d), Pedro Almod\u00f3var (\u201cAmarga Navidad\u201d), Pawe\u0142 Pawlikowski (\u201cFatherland\u201d), Ira Sachs (\u201cThe Man I Love\u201d), Hirokazu Kore-eda (\u201cSheep in the Box\u201d), L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Nemes (\u201cMoulin\u201d) and Ryusuke Hamaguchi (\u201cAll of a Sudden\u201d).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tElordi, who rose to fame through \u201cThe Kissing Booth\u201d and \u201cEuphoria,\u201d was Oscar-nominated this year for \u201cFrankenstein\u201d and also starred in February\u2019s \u201cWuthering Heights\u201d with Margot Robbie.
