Kerry have been drawn at home to Donegal in a mouth-watering All-Ireland SFC Round 1 fixture \u2014 but Jack O\u2019Connor\u2019s only interest right now is Cork.<\/p>\n
With the Sam Maguire holders defending their Munster crown in the provincial decider at Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday, their boss\u2019s focus is completely on the Rebels<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI suppose it isn\u2019t ideal, really, to have the draw before the Munster final<\/a>, because I actually think it takes from the Munster final,\u201d said O\u2019Connor<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Munster final should be a big standalone fixture in its own right and I just hope it won\u2019t distract people. We\u2019ll be doing our level best to make sure it doesn\u2019t distract the players, which is the most important thing.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no interest in discussing that game (Donegal) until we are finished with Cork, to be honest with you, and the Cork game is over.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll have our hands full with Cork besides worrying about the game that is coming afterwards.\u201d<\/p>\n O\u2019Connor (inset) was pessimistic about any players from Kerry\u2019s walking wounded being available to line out against Cork.<\/p>\n Shane Ryan, Paul Murphy, Brian \u00d3 Beaglaoich, Joe O\u2019Connor, Sean O\u2019Shea, Graham O\u2019Sullivan and Dylan Geaney all missed the provincial semi-final victory over Clare through injury.<\/p>\n Tom O\u2019Sullivan was forced off in the early stages of the second half in Ennis 10 days ago, while Gavin White and Sean O\u2019Brien were only fit enough for sub cameos.<\/p>\n \u201cWe think the panel that we had going to Ennis will be more or less the panel for the Cork game. I\u2019d say the game will probably come too soon for some of the injured lads,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s day by day. Some of those injuries can turn quickly but, at the moment, any of the players who were absent in Clare haven\u2019t returned to full training. That\u2019s as much as I can say.\u201d<\/p>\n
