Celebrity Traitors might’ve only just announced its stacked line-up for season 2 but fan speculation is already in full swing, with viewers excited at the “insane” cast and theorising who among the 21 celebs could be a Traitor – with one “diabolical” name being thrown in the mix.<\/p>\n

Last week, the BBC finally revealed the names of the group of famous faces heading to Scotland for a chance to win \u00a3100,000 for a charity of their choice. After season 1 gave fans some serious TV gold in the form of Traitor Alan Carr<\/a> winning the show despite being unable to keep a straight face, season 2 is going bigger. Host Claudia Winkleman is set to welcome a new, star-studded line-up<\/a> which includes actors Richard E Grant, Bella Ramsey<\/a> and Myha’la, EastEnders’ Ross Kemp and singer James Blunt. <\/p>\n

Following the official cast reveal, fans have gone down a Traitors spiral on Reddit<\/a>, suggesting some names that could make good Traitors.<\/p>\n

“I’m not a big fan of this kind of TV but the first one was awesome and this cast is serious so I’ll definitely be watching,” one person wrote, while someone else praised the “absolutely stacked” ensemble.

Some thought that having comedian James Acaster as a Traitor would be a “diabolical” choice, with someone else writing: “Cannot wait to see Acaster and [Joe] Lycett revelling in their roles.”<\/p>\n

Many also argued that comedians and close pals Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett could see their friendship tested should one of them be selected as a Traitor. Fans think that either of the co-hosts of Sky series Rob & Romesh Vs could be a Traitor, with one person writing: “My money is on Rob.”

“Hope Claudia [Winkleman] makes Rob a traitor and keeps Rom a Faithful. Rob would lose his mind,” someone else noted.

“Either Romesh or Rob Beckett will be a Traitor,” was another comment. Someone else went on a tangent trying to enter the mind of a Traitors producer, writing that having either Rob or Ramesh as a Traitor would “make sense”.<\/p>\n

“That was my first thought. Known to be very close friends it would make sense. Although the producers will have thought that we would assume this so they probably won’t,” they noted. “However, the producers would also know that we would know that they would know and therefore still do it. The old triple bluff.”<\/p>\n

Another fan suggested another possible outcome, with Romesh and Rob both being Faithful and “knowing that everyone will assume one of them is a Traitor”. <\/p>\n

“Them both wrongly turning on each other could be gold,” they wrote.<\/p>\n

Finally, some were “excited” at the thought of James Blunt at the round table. <\/p>\n

“James Blunt is absolutely hilarious. Such a good casting,” one person wrote, while someone else noted: “I’m legit so excited for James Blunt. He’s got such a good sense of humour and doesn’t take himself too seriously at all.”<\/p>\n

Fans seem to have a solid theory as to who could be a Faithful, betting on mathematician Professor Hannah Fry being an excellent “detective”. She’s likely a candidate for a quick exit due to her background and profession – much like with crime novelist Harriet Tyce<\/a> in season 4 of the civilian show – possibly giving her an advantage when hunting down a Traitor.<\/p>\n

“Hannah Fry is so good on YouTube with Vsauce, I’d love to see her as a detective,” one person wrote.<\/p>\n

“That’s a really strong lineup. I would suspect Professor Hannah Fry to be the first one out though because of her background. They’ll want her out quick.”

The Celebrity Traitors<\/a> will air later this year, with a specific release date to be announced. We are also still waiting for season 4 of The Traitors US<\/a>, which features celebrities, to arrive on iPlayer in the UK.<\/p>\n
