\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Maria Zhang\u00a0(Avatar: The Last Airbender)\u00a0has joined the series regular cast of the Fox<\/a> drama series The Interrogator<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe series centers on former MI6 agent Conrad Henry (Stephen Fry) and his elite team. When conventional methods have failed, Henry\u2019s quirky charm, superior intellect, and mind-bending behavioral maneuvers make him the only man able to lockpick the minds of the world\u2019s most dangerous criminals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tZhang will play Florence,\u00a0the most idealistic and optimistic of the team. She handles all things computers, from hacking, gathering, and decrypting evidence to creating forgeries and deepfakes to lead Henry\u2019s subjects astray. She\u2019s a multi-lateral puzzle master, a game theory guru, a cognitive gymnast. Florence\u2019s fianc\u00e9e, Dana, still thinks she works in game development, not spy craft. She\u2019s so deftly divided these worlds in her mind, she\u2019s even having a (mostly physical) affair with her teammate, Voss (Luke Kleintank).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Fry and Kleintank, the series regular cast also includes Michael Beach as Henry\u2019s best friend and the first member of his team, Louis, Jenna Elfman as rising CIA star Woodrow, and Jessica Sula as criminal psychologist and Henry\u2019s estranged daughter, Astrid.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Interrogator,\u00a0from\u00a0Lionsgate Television\u00a0and Fox Entertainment, received a 12-episode straight-to-series order for the 2026-27 season earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pilot script was written by Fry, with revisions from Matt Pyken as well as William Harper.\u00a0Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie are executive producers and showrunners. Fry also executive produces alongside Harper and Paul McGuigan, who will also direct.\u00a0Likely Story\u2019s Anthony Bregman and Miriam Mintz, Matt Pyken, Neil Burger, and Anonymous Content also serve as executive producers on the series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tZhang is best known for playing Suki in Netflix\u2019s Avatar: The Last Airbender. Her other credits include ABC\u2019s The Rookie and Netflix\u2019s A Man on the Inside. Zhang will next be seen in a leading role in the feature film Busted. A Polish-Chinese actress, Zhang has performed with Beijing Playhouse as part of China\u2019s English-language Broadway theatre community, as well as with a nonprofit community theatre group in Poland.
