A teenage motorcyclist is in a serious condition in hospital after a hit-and-run in Dublin<\/a> – and gardai are hunting a specific car.<\/p>\n The biker was hit on Santry Avenue in Ballymun just after 10pm on Monday night. He was rushed to the Mater Hospital, where his condition is described as serious.<\/p>\n The car that hit the biker failed to remain at the scene. Gardai believe the car was a white\/cream Renault Kaptur with a black roof.<\/p>\n A garda<\/a> spokesperson said: “Garda\u00ed in Ballymun, Dublin are appealing to the public for witnesses following a serious hit-and-run road traffic collision that occurred on Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin on the night of Monday 6th April, 2026. Shortly after 10:00pm Garda\u00ed and emergency services were alerted after a motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle on Santry Avenue, Ballymun, Dublin.<\/p>\n “The driver of the car failed to remain at the scene. The motorcyclist, a man in his late teens, was taken by ambulance to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries.<\/p>\n “The injured man remains in hospital at this time. The vehicle failed to remain at the scene of the collision and is believed to be a white\/cream Renault Kaptur with a black roof.<\/p>\n “Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or has any relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
