Garda\u00ed are investigating the sudden death of a man who was found unresponsive at a secondary school for girls in Bray, County Wicklow, on Thursday, May 7, 2026.<\/p>\n
Shortly after 8am, garda\u00ed and emergency services were alerted after a man in his 40s was discovered on the premises of Loreto Secondary School, on Vevay Road, Bray.<\/p>\n
The man, who was known locally to garda\u00ed, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.<\/p>\n
In a message to parents on Thursday morning, the school said there had been \u201can incident involving a member of the public on school grounds\u201d, adding that it was \u201ccooperating with An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na\u201d.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed said the coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified. A post-mortem examination is to be arranged, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.<\/p>\n
