Just days after the actor, along with costars Michelle Williams<\/a>,\u00a0Katie Holmes<\/a>,\u00a0Joshua Jackson<\/a>, Mary Beth Peil,\u00a0John Wesley Shipp<\/a>,\u00a0Mary-Margaret Humes<\/a>,\u00a0Nina Repeta<\/a>, Meredith Monroe and\u00a0Busy Philipps<\/a>,\u00a0all appeared in the one-night-only reunion event, Smith, 53, shared another project that’s rooted in his time on Dawson’s Creek<\/a>.<\/p>\n Smith is working on a book, titled I Don’t Want to Wait: My Journey on Dawson’s Creek Without a Paddle, due for release in Fall 2026.<\/p>\n Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote, “It\u2019s been a wild ride since Capeside. My entire career, I have tried to recreate that bubble, that camp, that Wilmington scenario, because on the weekends, we had so much fun.”<\/p>\n The book will share Smith’s memories of creating Jack McPhee’s journey on the show, including his unforgettable coming-out story, which featured the first kiss between two men on primetime.<\/p>\n “I had just landed the most incredible role in Hollywood \u2014 at least in my mind, for being that age and being so new. Three months later, after integrating myself into the other four and just getting through that mess of making sure I feel at home and comfortable, now I’m being asked to play something that’s very different. It was very risky at that time,” Smith shared of the experience.<\/p>\n “I’m glad I took the risk.
