The 62-year-old groom, a former Olympic equestrian, arrived in a dashing Real Maestranza de Caballer\u00eda de Sevilla uniform, accompanied by his daughter Amina. B\u00e1rbara, 29, followed in a horse-drawn carriage, wearing a Navascu\u00e9s gown with a dramatic trailing veil and \u2013 a previous gift from her future husband \u2013 art<\/a> deco-inspired earrings.<\/p>\n

Venice was the setting for the so-called \u2018wedding of the century\u2019 when tech billionaire Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren S\u00e1nchez staged three days of celebrations. These started with a party at the 14th-century Madonna dell\u2019Orto church, where a thunderstorm cast operatic drama over a guestlist that read like a global power index. (Queen Rania of Jordan<\/a>, Bill Gates, Orlando Bloom, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were all ferried along the Grand Canal.) It was like \u2018the Met Gala on water\u2019, quipped one reporter. And S\u00e1nchez set the style agenda.
