{"id":442112,"date":"2026-05-10T18:39:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-10T18:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/442112\/"},"modified":"2026-05-10T18:39:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T18:39:12","slug":"limerick-mother-convicted-of-a-litany-of-road-traffic-offences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/442112\/","title":{"rendered":"Limerick mother convicted of a litany of road traffic offences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A WOMAN who was described by a judge as possessing a \u201cgeneral lawlessness\u201d has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/463\/crime-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">jailed<\/a> for a litany of road traffic offences.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mary O\u2019Callaghan with an address at Aherlow View, Galbally, appeared before Judge Patricia Harney at Kilmallock District Court charged with a number of road traffic offences.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 44-year-old appeared before Judge Harney for the eleventh time for not having insurance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The court heard that on September 14, 2025, Garda John P Clifford was called, just before 5pm, to attend the scene of a material damage collision after\u00a0 a car was rear-ended.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Garda Clifford said Ms O\u2019Callaghan had driven onto the footpath and had left the scene of the collision.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just one month later, on October 20, 2025, the accused was stopped by garda\u00ed and it was established she did not have insurance, tax or a valid NCT.
