Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows artists win big at B.C. Country Music Awards<\/p>\n

Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows artists came out on top at the 2026 B.C. Country Music Association Awards.<\/p>\n
Madeline Merlo, who hails from Maple Ridge, took home Entertainer of the Year, in addition to Top Performing Album for \u201cOne House Down\u201d.<\/p>\n
Merlo also took Top Performing Single for \u201cBroken Heart Thing\u201d.<\/p>\n
Pitt Meadows singer\/songwriter Danielle Ryan won for Interactive Artist of the Year.<\/p>\n
She was also nominated for Female Artist of the Year, and for Song of the Year for her single \u201cCross Your Mind\u201d.<\/p>\n
Maple Ridge\u2019s Tom McKillip, who was inducted into the B.C. Country Music Hall of Fame in 2022, is nominated for the Mike Norman All-Star Band \u2013 Special Instrument award for the saxophone.<\/p>\n
The 48th annual awards took place April 26 at the Great Canadian Theatre in Coquitlam.<\/p>\n
