Mount Juliet Estate<\/a> has officially reopened its historic Manor House following an \u20ac8 million refurbishment<\/a>, significantly expanding its suite capacity and strengthening its position within Ireland\u2019s high-value tourism market.<\/p>\n

The investment represents one of the most substantial upgrades to the estate in recent years and is closely aligned with growing international demand for premium Irish travel experiences, particularly from North American visitors and long-haul luxury markets.

At the centre of the project is the full restoration of the Georgian Manor House, where the number of suites has increased from 8 to 24. This expansion directly responds to sustained demand for high-end, suite-led accommodation and supports the estate\u2019s repositioning of the Manor House as a premium luxury offering within the wider resort.

The refurbishment was led by Irish interior designer Aisling Healy of O\u2019Donnell O\u2019Neill, with a strong emphasis on Irish craftsmanship and suppliers. Alongside the physical upgrades, the project introduces new revenue-driving guest experiences, including a dedicated wine cellar and artisan cheese room designed for private tastings and curated small-group experiences.<\/p>\n

Part of Marriott International\u2019s Autograph Collection, Mount Juliet Estate continues to attract a high proportion of international guests, with overseas visitors representing a significant share of Manor House bookings. The estate operates two distinct properties: the 31-bedroom Manor House and the 93-bedroom Hunter\u2019s Yard, set across 500 acres along the River Nore.<\/p>\n

The reopening comes amid continued growth in Ireland\u2019s tourism economy, with over 6.4 million overseas visitors contributing more than \u20ac5.5 billion in 2025, according to Central Statistics Office data. This upward trend is being driven by increased demand for curated, high-value travel, including bookings through luxury travel advisors and bespoke itineraries.<\/p>\n

The refurbishment project supported a significant number of construction and specialist restoration roles, as well as a broad network of Irish suppliers and craftspeople. Today, the estate employs more than 300 staff across hospitality, dining, golf, equestrian and estate operations.<\/p>\n

Mount Juliet Estate is forecasting occupancy of over 70% in 2026, up from a 62% benchmark in December 2019, alongside anticipated ADR growth of 20\u201325% following the reopening.<\/p>\n

The estate is also reporting strong forward bookings into 2026, with early demand already emerging for 2027.
According to General Manager Mark Dunne, the investment reflects long-term confidence in Ireland\u2019s luxury tourism segment:<\/p>\n

Increasing the suite capacity within The Manor allows us to compete more effectively at the top end of the market, while ensuring the heritage and character of the estate remain central to the guest experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

While the Manor House was closed for a period during the refurbishment, its reopening marks a key milestone in the estate\u2019s broader commercial strategy, positioning it as a flagship luxury destination within Ireland.<\/p>\n
