\n\tDirector-actress-producer Sadie Frost<\/a> and producer Simon Jones have launched Frost & Jones, a production company developing premium documentary and scripted film and television.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe venture follows the critical and commercial performance of Frost\u2019s documentary \u201cTwiggy\u201d and is designed to span both scripted and unscripted formats with an eye on international markets.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe anchor project is \u201cThe Story of Quadrophenia<\/a>,\u201d a feature documentary directed by Frost and developed alongside Extended Play\u2019s Rachel Fuller, Universal Music Group\u2019s Marc Robinson, Submarine Entertainment\u2019s Daniel Braun, Film Soho\u2019s Chris Greenhill and Nick Hamson and Parallax Soho\u2019s Chris Wood.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe documentary examines the enduring cultural legacy of the Who\u2019s album \u201dQuadrophenia\u201d and its continuing evolution. It also captures behind-the-scenes access from a 2025 rock ballet adaptation of the material. Early conversations on international sales and distribution are underway with Submarine, Universal and Studio Soho. The Who\u2019s Pete Townshend has given the project his full backing, with his manager Bill Curbishley also on board. The film is currently in production and has secured contributions from Ray Winstone, Phil Daniels, Gary Kemp, Lesley Ash, Toyah Willcox and Franc Roddam, among others.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter \u2018Twiggy,\u2019 I wanted to keep exploring the people and moments that define our culture \u2014 stories that feel intimate, human and emotionally honest, but also cinematic and bold,\u201d Frost said. \u201cFrost & Jones is about making work that stays with you \u2014 that connects across generations and feels relevant right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso in the documentary pipeline is \u201cZandra,\u201d developed with Derek Taylor and Rogan Prods.\u2019 James Rogan and Clio David. The film traces designer Zandra Rhodes\u2019 career from the 1960s and her influence on fashion, music and art.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the scripted side, the company is developing \u201cAll Too Beautiful,\u201d a biopic of Small Faces frontman Steve Marriott directed by Frost and written by Paolo Hewitt, adapted from Hewitt\u2019s own award-winning book. The project is in development in association with Rosy Cross Prods.\u2019 Tom Keenan. Also on the scripted slate is \u201cFaded Grace,\u201d a female-led psychological thriller co-written by Frost and Zoe Lewis, set across the present day and the 1990s. That project is being developed with Dreamtown Entertainment\u2019s Ben Charles Edwards, Kirsty Bell and Phil McKenzie, alongside producer Emma Comley of Hooligan Dreamers.<\/p>\n

\n\tFrost & Jones is also in active development with ITN Prods. \u2014 represented by Gorana Jelovina, Ricardo Pollack and Natalie Chow \u2014 on a feature documentary about a prominent British cultural figure, as yet unnamed, described as the country\u2019s most iconic \u201cIt Girl.\u201d Being developed alongside a key family member, the project will draw on previously unseen personal archive material from the subject\u2019s early life.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is about building a modern production company with real intent \u2014 creatively ambitious, commercially focused, and globally minded,\u201d Jones said. \u201cWe\u2019re developing projects with scale, with partners who can move quickly, and with a clear eye on audience. There\u2019s a real appetite for these stories internationally, and we\u2019re already seeing strong early interest across the slate.\u201d<\/p>\n
