Coleen Nolan has said she’s too emotional after the deaths of her sisters Bernie and Linda to do a Nolan Sisters reunion, but Maureen has told the Mirror that the show must go on\"A<\/p>\n

As grief-stricken Coleen Nolan<\/a> reveals she\u2019s too emotional to return to the stage, after losing sisters, Bernie and Linda, the remaining Nolans say the show must go on, as they\u2019re reuniting for a summer season at Blackpool.<\/p>\n

Sisters Maureen, 71, Anne, 75 and Denise Nolan, 74 will join forces for an afternoon of songs, stories and \u2018Nolan natter\u2019 at the seaside resort where they learned their trade in the working man\u2019s pubs and clubs some 50 years before.<\/p>\n

Now speaking exclusively to the Mirror<\/a>, Maureen explains the real reason why their youngest sister, Loose Women<\/a> star, Coleen, won\u2019t be joining them.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s always so difficult to pin Coleen down because she\u2019s so booked up to things well in advance. Obviously, her price range is different as well. Coleen\u2019s a TV star and her diary is booked up a year in advance. She also does some singing gigs with her son and daughter and it\u2019s just impossible to pin her down.\u2019<\/p>\n

Earlier this week in an interview about her experiences on Celebs Go Dating, Coleen was asked whether she\u2019d join her sisters on stage again, but the 61-year old told the irish radio station that she\u2019d find the experience overwhelming.<\/p>\n

She said: \u2018It\u2019s really hard for me without Bernie and Linda now. It just wouldn\u2019t be the same for me. Bernie was the voice of it really; we all sang but Bernie was the lead and Linda was the fiery one and they were such big characters. I think it would be too hard for me, too tough for me to do that.\u2019<\/p>\n

But Maureen Nolan told the mirror that Bernie and Linda will still be very much be in the room. \u2018They are always on our mind and very much with us in spirit whenever we get together and that spurs us all on. That\u2019s why we do it all; to keep their memory alive really and anyone who comes to see the show will feel their presence in the room.\u2019<\/p>\n

The comeback marks the Nolans\u2019 first Blackpool summer residency since they were one of Britain\u2019s hottest chart acts, with hits including I\u2019m In The Mood For Dancing, Gotta Pull Myself Together and Attention To Me.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1974, The Nolans were six Anglo-Irish sisters who became one of the best-selling girl bands of all time. Over the past five decades they have sold more than 30 million records worldwide with hits including, I\u2019m in the Mood for Dancing as well as a huge fanbase over in Japan.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the sisters have enjoyed considerable post-band success, starring in West End musical Blood Brothers and TV shows including, The Nolans Go Cruising and the youngest sister, Coleen is the star of Loose Women.<\/p>\n

But beneath the glamour they\u2019ve endured their share of personal struggles as their family life has been blighted by cancer.<\/p>\n

Bernie, who often performed the lead vocals, died from metastatic breast cancer in 2013, ages 52 and in January 2025, Linda died of pneumonia, after her incurable breast cancer spread to her brain.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Anne has had breast cancer twice and their brother Brian was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.<\/p>\n

The trio will appear every Saturday from July 25 until October 3 at Russ Brown\u2019s House of Secrets on Church Street just steps away from Blackpool\u2019s famous Winter Gardens with tickets priced at \u00a350.<\/p>\n

Spokesman and the event organiser, Gregor Gee said: \u2018Fans can expect a packed afternoon of live singing, behind-the-scenes tales from showbiz and the chance to put their own questions to the sisters.\u2019<\/p>\n
