Olivia Dunne<\/a> already took a shot at one of television\u2019s biggest series. The former NCAA gymnastics star recently revealed that her first-ever in-person acting audition was for season four of HBO\u2019s hit drama The White Lotus before landing a role in the upcoming Baywatch reboot.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, actually, my first ever audition was in person. It was different because in gymnastics, usually you just go out there and perform on a 4-inch beam. But this, I have to talk and perform and play somebody else rather than myself. So, it was a completely different animal,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI ended up not getting that one, which was probably a show that you would know. It was for White Lotus,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

Even so, Dunne joked that she may have felt more comfortable showing off gymnastics skills than reading lines in front of casting directors. \u201cIt\u2019s different. I think I would rather have done a backflip in front of the casting director, but I mean, I went there, I put it all out there. It was my first audition,\u201d she explained in April\u2019s\u00a0Boardroom cover story.<\/p>\n

Dunne said the audition opened the door to a whole new chapter. \u201cIt was honestly really fun,\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019ve done a few more auditions since then.\u201d The social media star explained that she has been seriously studying acting while working closely with an acting coach and rehearsing scripts regularly. \u201cNaturally, I gravitate towards things that are more creative,\u201d she said, adding that her family has always encouraged artistic pursuits. \u201cI\u2019ve been passionate about it ever since I was in college.\u201d<\/p>\n

After graduating from Louisiana State University and retiring from gymnastics in 2025, she finally decided to fully explore the entertainment world. Now, Dunne is preparing for her first official acting role in the upcoming Baywatch reboot series heading to Fox during the 2026\u201327 television season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Olivia Dunne already took a shot at one of television\u2019s biggest series.
