\n\tAfter more than a decade, Orlando Bloom<\/a> is ready to pick up his bow once more to play Legolas in The Lord of the Rings<\/a> franchise.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actor recently expressed his interest in reprising the role after Deadline reported in May 2024 that Andy Serkis<\/a> will direct and reprise his titular role<\/a> in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have not heard a peep, actually. I don\u2019t know. I know it\u2019s focusing on Gollum, so anything\u2019s possible,\u201d he said on the Today<\/a> show. \u201cIt\u2019s such an amazing part. I\u2019m so grateful to have been a part of those movies. But I haven\u2019t heard.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBloom added, \u201cListen, I\u2019d hate to see anyone else play Legolas, you know what I mean? What are they going to do? Are they going to put somebody else in as Legolas?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWith A.I. they can do anything these days!\u201d the actor joked after portraying the Sindar Elf prince in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002) and The Return of the King (2003), before reprising the role in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and The Battle of the Five Armies (2014).<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Deadline reported last May that Serkis is working on The Hunt for Gollum<\/a>, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema announced a Dec. 17, 2027 theatrical release<\/a> for the film, which is based on J.R.R. Tolkien<\/a>\u2018s fantasy books.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast month at a fan event in London, Ian McKellen<\/a> teased his and Elijah Wood<\/a>\u2018s return as Gandalf and Frodo Baggins<\/a> in The Hunt for Gollum. <\/p>\n
