Republic of Ireland captain Katie McCabe will leave Arsenal at the end of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
McCabe has made over 300 appearances for Arsenal across a span of 11 years since her 2015 move from Shelbourne.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old won the Women’s Super League in 2019 before adding a Women’s Champions League medal to her haul last year.<\/p>\n
The Dubliner – who has been linked with a move to Super League rivals and recently-crowned champions, Manchester City – will bring the curtain down on her Arsenal career against Denise O’Sullivan’s Liverpool on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The North London outfit announced her departure in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n
“Over more than a decade at Arsenal, Katie has made a significant and lasting contribution to the history and success of our football club,” director of women’s football Clare Wheatley said.<\/p>\n
“Katie has led with passion and commitment, giving everything for the badge and forging a special bond with our supporters.
