\n\tWhile streaming the fourth episode of his \u201cIceman\u201d series on Thursday night, Drake essentially premiered the entire album<\/a> before its release at midnight ET. But he had two more tricks up his sleeve: the Toronto rapper surprise-dropped a pair of additional albums \u2014\u00a0\u201cHabibti\u201d and \u201cMaid of Honour\u201d \u2014 making for a trio of records amounting to 43 tracks across 149 minutes.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor Drake<\/a> purists, or the ones who prefer when he goes into rap mode, \u201cIceman\u201d is the most hard-hitting of the three, an album that looks back on the trials and tribulations of the past few years and the fallout from his highly publicized beef with Kendrick Lamar. Across \u201cIceman,\u201d Drake aims his former friends turned foes and turns his pain into conviction, sharing how the industry\u2019s betrayal became his rocket fuel.<\/p>\n

\n\tWith bars upon bars across the 18 tracks on \u201cIceman,\u201d Variety takes a look at some of the best from the batch:<\/p>\n

\n\tMAKE THEM CRY<\/p>\n

\n\tOne of several references to his beef with Lamar throughout the record, Drake addresses it from the jump with a sharp reference to his hometown of Toronto (or, the six).<\/p>\n

\n\tI know it\u2019s a heavy-ass decision to bury the hatchet
It\u2019ll take more than six pallbearers to carry that casket<\/p>\n

\n\tWHISPER MY NAME<\/p>\n

\n\tAh yes, the old \u201cdinner with Jay-Z or $500,000\u201d dilemma, wrapped up in a pun riffing on the Internet and sports:<\/p>\n

\n\tYou n\u2014s be hittin\u2019 the \u2018net for some love, you a tennis ball
I take 500K down to dinner, I never could learn shit from none of y\u2019all<\/p>\n

\n\tJANICE STFU<\/p>\n

\n\tLamar appears to be at the receiving end of many barbs on Iceman:<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite kids listen to you \u2019cause they feel some guilt and that\u2019s how your soul gets fulfilled
Handing out turkeys on camera inside of your hood then you go back to the hills
How many houses you build? How many souls did you heal off the back of your deal?
Difference between n\u2014s getting you out of your deal and letting you out of your deal<\/p>\n

\n\tRAN TO ATLANTA<\/p>\n

\n\tBoasts take up a lot of space on the album, and this one on \u201cRan to Atlanta\u201d particularly stings.<\/p>\n

\n\tN\u2014s standin\u2019 ten toes on quicksand
If they could\u2019ve been, they would\u2019ve been but they can\u2019t
Embarrassment the only thing I\u2019m getting secondhand<\/p>\n

\n\tMAKE THEM PAY<\/p>\n

\n\tDrake did not mince words when it came to calling out former friends turned foes:<\/p>\n

\n\tDog, I was aidin\u2019 Ross with streams before Adin Ross had ever streamed
And Khaled, you know what I mean
The beef was fully live, you went halal and got on your deen
And your people are still waiting for a free Palestine
But apparently everything isn\u2019t black and white and red and green
I\u2019m seeing everyone\u2019s true colors, for real, I\u2019m sensing a theme<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd then, he broadens the scope later in the song:<\/p>\n

\n\tMy sixth sense is kicking in \u2019cause all I hear is people that are dead to me
And that\u2019s why I\u2019m turnin\u2019 on my read receipts
To let you know that everything that\u2019s said to me will forever be stored in my memory<\/p>\n

\n\tBURNING BRIDGES<\/p>\n

\n\tIn what many have already clocked as a reference to ASAP Rocky\u2019s latest album \u201cDon\u2019t Be Dumb,\u201d Drake fires some sharp darts in his direction:<\/p>\n

\n\tYou gettin\u2019 bodied by a singin\u2019 n\u2014a, yeah
I\u2019m with Noel like I\u2019m Kris Kringle, yeah
Your baby mama ain\u2019t even post your single, damn<\/p>\n

\n\tB\u2019S ON THE TABLE<\/p>\n

\n\tDrake directly references his lawsuit against Universal Music Group, a move that some interpreted as an attempt to soothe his wounds from his bout with Lamar. Here, he makes his intentions known.<\/p>\n

\n\tI\u2019m fighting the man, not suing the rapper, you boys is not listening<\/p>\n

\n\tMAKE THEM REMEMBER<\/p>\n

\n\tIn another reference to his lawsuit against UMG, Drake says he\u2019s capable of laying a golden goose \u2014\u00a0in other words, he\u2019s a cash cow for the label but isn\u2019t afraid to shake the table.<\/p>\n

\n\tBut like the goal post, I\u2019m out here just movin\u2019 around
They say conclusions were drawn but I\u2019m in super denial
What is a loss? I\u2019ll be damned if I\u2019m losing it now

\n\tDrake\u2019s final act of defiance and vindication comes on Iceman\u2018s concluding song \u2014 the old Drake is dead, long live Drake:<\/p>\n
