The body of a man has been found in the north Dublin suburb of Artane early this morning.<\/p>\n
The 38-year-old was found at around 12:30am at a house in Brookwood Heights in Artane after Garda\u00ed were alerted to an incident at the property.<\/p>\n
A man in his 60s has been arrested and is currently being held at a Garda station in north Dublin.<\/p>\n
The body is still at the property, which is being examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.<\/p>\n
A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.<\/p>\n

“Garda\u00ed are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in his 30s following an incident at a residential property in Dublin 5, on Saturday 16th May 2026,\u201d a spokesperson for An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cShortly after 12:30am, Garda\u00ed and emergency services responded to a call at a residence on Brookwood Heights, Artane. A male in his 30s was treated at the scene and was subsequently pronounced deceased a short time later.<\/p>\n
\u201cA man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in North Dublin.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe body of the deceased remains at the residence which is preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. The local Coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.<\/p>\n
\u201cA Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) has been appointed, a Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) assigned and an incident room established at Clontarf Garda Station.<\/p>\n
