The K-pop superstars have been in the Bay Area this week leading up to three shows at Stanford Stadium<\/a>. They\u2019ve used their time off to enjoy some of the area\u2019s sights, including the theme park in Santa Clara. On Saturday, Jin posted photos from his visit. He partook in all the Great America classics: eating churros and pretzels, posing in front of the famous carousel and standing in line for the Gold Striker roller coaster.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jin is no stranger to amusement parks: He\u2019s been regularly visiting parks all over the world<\/a> during tours, including Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California\u00a0back in 2019<\/a>. BTS also famously visited another Six Flags property in the Chicago suburbs for one of the first episodes of their variety show \u201cRun BTS<\/a>.\u201d This was likely Jin\u2019s last chance to visit Great America before its eventual demolition; the park is slated to close<\/a> in the next few years and the area is to be redeveloped.\u00a0<\/p>\n

BTS fans are known for their strict etiquette around the stars; anyone who sees them when the group isn\u2019t working is supposed to ignore them to ensure that they have privacy during their time off. It seems\u00a0Jin\u2019s personal space was honored, because his photos show he went unbothered on an ordinary day with other guests. (He opted to cover up the faces of other guests by putting block text with the word \u201cpeople\u201d in Korean over them.)\u00a0<\/p>\n

His bandmate RM also partook in some sightseeing this week. He posted photos on Instagram showing a museum visit and a stroll by the Francis Scott Key monument in Golden Gate Park. A well-known art lover, RM\u2019s visit to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art\u00a0wasn\u2019t just to enjoy Matisse\u2019s \u201cWoman with a Hat\u201d: An\u00a0exhibit curated with art<\/a> from his personal collection is coming to the museum in early October.\u00a0<\/p>\n

BTS plays Stanford Stadium on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday nights. These are their first shows as a complete group in the Bay Area since they played Oakland Arena in 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n
