{"id":452870,"date":"2026-05-17T02:55:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-17T02:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/452870\/"},"modified":"2026-05-17T02:55:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-17T02:55:16","slug":"judge-says-limerick-man-convicted-of-assault-has-a-short-fuse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/452870\/","title":{"rendered":"Judge says Limerick man convicted of assault has a &#8220;short fuse&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A MAN who was charged with a Section 2 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/463\/crime-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">assault<\/a> has been described by a district court judge as having a \u201cquick temper\u201d and a \u201cshort fuse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Henry Blackwell with an address at Lismakeera, Askeaton, appeared before Kilmallock District Court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A probation report, which Judge Patricia Harney described as being \u201cquite concerning\u201d was handed into the court.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Solicitor John Lynch told the court that his client has \u201cdistanced himself\u201d from his family and has not come to adverse garda attention since the offence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Judge Harney said: \u201cThis is not his first rodeo &#8211; I have concerns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cHe seems to have a quick temper.
