\n\tMegan Moroney<\/a>, who is the most nominated artist for tonight\u2019s (May 17) Academy of Country Music Awards<\/a> with nine nominations, will be a no show at the Las Vegas ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. But she has a very good reason.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs Moroney posted on social media Sunday morning, she is the maid of honor at her best friend\u2019s wedding. Longtime fans of Moroney\u2019s are already familiar with her friend, Natalie, who was the subject of her 2021 song \u201cWonder.\u201d In that tune, Moroney is giving advice to a friend who is in the throes of a relationship with a man who keeps her on edge, not calling when he says he will and not treating her how she deserves.<\/p>\n

\n\tMoroney then tells her friend that maybe he\u2019s not the right guy for her and, even though starting over is scary, maybe she should wait for the one who treats her with respect, shows up when he says he will and \u201cwon\u2019t make you wonder\u201d if he loves her. Looks like Natalie took Moroney\u2019s advice.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so honored to be nominated tonight at @acmawards & I\u2019m rooting on all my friends from afar! I\u2019m out of the country this week on MOH duty to get my bestie married,\u201d the singer shared with fans on Instagram<\/a> midday on Sunday, tagging Natalie on a snapshot of the pair wearing \u201cBridesmaid\u201d and \u201cBride\u201d sweatsuits.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s quite a busy time for Moroney. Tonight she\u2019s up for the coveted entertainer of the year award, as well as eight other awards, including female artist of the year and artist-songwriter of the year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThen later this month, Moroney kicks off her Cloud 9 arena headlining tour in Columbus, Ohio, on May 29.\u00a0 The tour takes its name from Moroney\u2019s February album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 all-genre albums chart. The album has already spawned the top 10 Country Airplay chart hits \u201cBeautiful Things\u201d and \u201c6 Months Later,\u201d which is up for single of the year tonight.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ACM Awards<\/a> will stream live on Amazon\u2019s Prime Video starting at 8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
