Country music fans can expect to hear Megan Moroney\u2019s<\/a> name called during tonight\u2019s ACM Awards, but the singer will not be in attendance to collect any new hardware. And the reason for her absence is actually very sweet.<\/p>\n

Megan received nine nominations for the 61st ACMs\u2014the most of any artist. She is up for Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (Artist and Songwriter), Single of the Year, Music Event of the Year, Visual Media of the Year (for Artist and Director), and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.<\/p>\n

Fans are hoping to see the \u201cAm I Okay?\u201d singer on the red carpet or performing during the show, but Megan RSVP\u2019d to another event\u2014her best friend\u2019s wedding!<\/p>\n

Megan shared a candid shot of her and her friend wearing coordinating Bride and Bridesmaid sweatsuits for the occasion. She shared the message, \u201cI\u2019m so honored to be nominated tonight at @acmawards & I\u2019m rooting on all my friends from afar! I\u2019m out of the country this week on MOH duty to get my bestie married.\u201d The bestie in question is Natalie King. Megan and Natalie met during their college days at the University of Georgia.<\/p>\n

She also shared a note that she\u2019s counting down the days to her \u201cCloud 9\u201d tour. The first date kicks off in Columbus, Ohio, on May 29.<\/p>\n
