Katie Bates <\/a>and her family have opted for a permanent change of scenery following her husband Travis Clark\u2019<\/a>s admitted affair and subsequent scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cLife has looked different lately, but I\u2019m really excited for what\u2019s ahead!\u201d Bates, 25, wrote via Instagram on Saturday, May 16, sharing a video diary highlighting her family\u2019s impending move.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe last few months have honestly been a lot heavier and more life changing than I ever expected them to be,\u201d she continued. \u201cThere\u2019s been a lot of hard conversations, a lot of therapy, a lot of praying, and a lot of figuring out what is healthiest for our family moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWhile some parts of my life have been public, there are also deeply personal things I\u2019ve been walking through privately that have impacted this decision in ways people may not fully know or understand. I know from the outside this movie might not fully make sense to everyone, but it\u2019s something we\u2019ve spent a lot of time praying through and processing together. It\u2019s not about running or pretending a new place magically fixes everything\u2026 life doesn\u2019t work like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie Bates Is Entering \u2018Therapy Intensive\u2019 After Husband Travis Clark\u2019s Cheating Scandal<\/a><\/p>\n

In January, Clark, 24, revealed he had cheated on Bates, just several hours after the reality TV alum announced she had experienced a miscarriage<\/a>. (Bates and Clark have been married since 2023 and share two children.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology,\u201d Clark wrote at the time. \u201cI was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust. There is no excuse for what I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Months later, the Bringing Up Bates alum\u2019s husband gave an update on the status of his marriage, admitting that he is fighting for his wife<\/a> following his infidelity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been sitting in what I did for a couple months now, and I feel so much inside but it\u2019s hard to find the right words,\u201d Clark wrote via Instagram in March. \u201cAt the end of last year, I made decisions I deeply regret. I\u2019m disappointed, ashamed, and honestly, disgusted with myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued at the time, \u201cThe last couple months have been humbling. A lot of hard work, therapy, time with God. I know I\u2019m not owed anything, but I am desperately fighting for my wife and my family every single day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bringing Up Bates\u2019 Katie Bates Recalls \u2018Hard\u2019 Couples Therapy With Husband Travis After His Affair<\/a><\/p>\n

On Saturday, Bates said that \u201cmore than anything\u201d the pair have been \u201ctrying to make decisions\u201d and choices that can only facilitate \u201chealing, peace, spiritual growth, and a healthy environment\u201d for their family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still have things we\u2019re working through and learning through, but I\u2019m really excited for what\u2019s ahead and everything this next chapter could hold for our family,\u201d Bates concluded in the post\u2019s caption. \u201cPrayers for our family as we step into this new chapter are always appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n
