Ireland has a new millionaire and for the first time ever, it’s thanks to a scratch card.<\/p>\n

Lotto<\/a> bosses have revealed this morning that in a landmark moment, Ireland’s first ever \u20ac1 million scratch card prize has been won.<\/p>\n

The National Lottery<\/a> has also confirmed that the winning scratch card was won in Co Wexford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Never before has a player won a figure as high as \u20ac1 million on an Irish scratch card but one lucky player scooped the life-changing prize after the launch of the All Cash Millionaire game.<\/p>\n

The precise location of the shop that sold the ticket will be revealed tomorrow, Tuesday May 19, when celebrations can get under way in the Model County.<\/p>\n

National Lottery spokesperson, Darragh O\u2019Dwyer said: “This is a huge milestone for the National Lottery as we reveal that the top prize on the All Cash Millionaire Scratch Card, which is a first of its kind in Ireland, has now been won.<\/p>\n

“A player in Co. Wexford has scratched their way to \u20ac1 million, becoming the first person in Ireland ever to win a \u20ac1 million prize on a Scratch Card.<\/p>\n

“To mark this historic moment, we\u2019ll be in Wexford tomorrow, Tuesday 19th May, to officially reveal where the winning ticket was sold.”<\/p>\n
