{"id":456336,"date":"2026-05-19T08:51:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T08:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/456336\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T08:51:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T08:51:13","slug":"ban-for-father-of-12-caught-twice-driving-without-insurance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/456336\/","title":{"rendered":"Ban for father-of-12 caught TWICE driving without insurance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A father-of-12 has been disqualified from driving for four years after being caught twice driving without insurance in quick succession.<\/p>\n<p>Fedir Tyrpak, who appeared before Letterkenny District Court, also had two previous convictions for having no insurance.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year-old, with an address at Carnasaul, Termon, pleaded guilty to having no insurance at Kilconnell Glebe on July 31, 2025, and at the same location on August 3, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Garda Sergeant Maurice Doyle told the court the defendant was stopped at 2.35pm on the first date and at 6.15pm on the second occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Both times, Tyrpak opted to produce documents at Milford Garda Station, but failed to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Solicitor Mr Donough Cleary told the court that his client, a Ukrainian national, has been in Ireland for 16 months now.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Clreary said that Tyrpak is a father-of-12 and the only person in the household who can drive.
